Um, hi. I've been a Scrapped Princess fan for some time now, and I'm happy to have found a LiveJournal community for it! It seems to be a little sleepy right now, but I thought I'd share some fan art.
Name: Aorphius.
How I discovered Scrapped Princess: Before the anime series was even licensed, I found some screencaps from the first few episodes while searching for something completely different. Being a fantasy nut, I was really intrigued, so after Bandai picked up the series for US release, I bought the first DVD and I've loved the series ever since.
The character(s) I will defend with bike chains and broken beer bottles if I see anyone bashing him/her/them: I was going to say "Shannon, Raquel, Pacifica, and Leo," but I think I'd defend most of the cast...
How I plan to contribute: I draw!
Level of exposure: I've seen all the anime, read the manga, and read the three light novels that were published by TokyoPop (before they dropped the series...).
How SutePri broke my heart: There are a lot of moments that make me sad, but that scene where Pacifica is dying and Raquel starts praying/pleading for her makes me weep bitter, uncontrollable tears every time.
But enough about me - let's talk fan art!
So I drew a "tribute" to the series of sorts. It's not perfect, and it doesn't feature every character, but I'm rather proud of it all the same. Unfortunately, I don't yet know how to better imbed my artwork on LiveJournal, so all I've got right now is a sad thumbnail that takes you to my deviantArt page. All the same, I hope you enjoy it!

Though, really, I don't see anything wrong with a deviantART thumbnail/link. *g* Whichever method you use, hope to see more art from you!

Date: 2010-08-23 07:56 pm (UTC)Honestly, I have no idea how long the drawing took me, since the work was spread over a couple of days. My guess would be maybe 6-7 hours altogether, but I'm pretty lousy at estimating time.
