When I was taking a look at ANN's coverage of the New York Anime Festival, one sentence at the end of the Day One description of Tokyopop's panel jumped out at me:

"The Scrapped Princess novels have also been on hiatus to due high translation costs, and there is no firm decision yet as to what will happen with this series."

It's bad enough the fandom is th size of my fingernail, but the fact that they can't even finish wat they started...

I know, right? D: Even their sloppy, typo-laden translation would be better than none at all. I'm looking at you, novel three. Plus I was excited for Leo's entrance when I read the fourth synopsis!

That's too bad. :/ I was surprised they picked up the novels in the first place--I mean, the anime version isn't exactly wildly popular--but it's not cool for them to drop it three volumes in. How the hell high can these translation costs be, anyway?
