I'm sure this has been asked before, but...

But has anyone ever noticed that in the Japanese version, Fafal calls Chris "Kuri-bon"?

Does anyone know why this is?

It confuses me every time I hear it x.x.

I think it's actually "Kuri-bou," as in 「クリ坊」. 坊 is a kind of affectionate diminutive that loosely translates to "son" or "boy." A really lame English equivalent would be "Chrissy boy" or the like, but Kuri-bou sounds better.

Yeah, I noticed that too, and of course the first thing I thought of was Little Kuriboh (http://www.yugiohtheabridgedseries.com/).
