Especially when it's from someone who writes the best Forsyth/Chris fics I've seen.
There once was a time when the only decently written SutePri fic was Chris/Winia
Happens in other fandoms as well, case in point being Harry Potter (don't shoot me). Never wrote for it, but from what I read, the het (Ron/Hermione, Harry/Hermione)was initially better, and now most of the best authors are slash writers (primary Harry/Malfoy, or Marauders and Snape).
