It might be a combination of the two. Since they've been traveling for a year now, it's likely that Pacifica's been hoping for someone to talk to. And she can probably tell that Winia's the sort who's willing to listen, even if she can't completely understand.

Shannon's domestic side is awesome. Genius swordsmen are a dime a dozen, but genius swordsmen who enjoy household chores are much harder to come by.

Haha, true. Makes you wonder about that Beckenham guy (or maybe just Azumi-sensei). I also sometimes wonder, if she had had a say in her appearance, whether she would have wanted to look more properly grown up, like Xi Wang Mu or Terejia.
