I suspect it's entirely possible that Raquel's sleeping mind has learned to filter out Pacifica's rants.
I love how blatantly obvious sensei's sci-fi leanings were, right from the start. Sure, Pacifica may not transform into a super-huge space battleship, but Shannon and Zeffy do battle the alien-modified Peacemakers IIIIIN SPAAAAACE.
Strait Jacket is his main series right now, I think. I keep meaning to give it a read, or at least watch the OVA, but I keep getting distracted. (Miki Shin'ichirou plays the main character. Well, of course.)
I kind of also want to check out D Crackers sometime.
