Regarding the font, I got these: - "Start/Control Panel/Regional and Languages select languages tab. Check box by Install files for east asian languages." site via googling from here (http://www.computing.net/answers/windows-xp/japanese-fonts-not-displayed-/170461.html). I'm not sure if that would work for you. - Here (http://blog.greggman.com/blog/japanese_input_on_windows_xp/comment-page-5/) is another one for window xp. Hope they work for you. Good luck.
