How I discovered Scrapped Princess: I actually just saw it while perusing Wikipedia (of all places) and thought, 'Hey, a Princess anime. And it's fantasy. Huh, why not'.

The character(s) I will defend with bike chains and broken beer bottles if I see anyone bashing him/her/them: I liked all of them enough, but I particularly loved Senes, Raquel and Shannon, and Leo (because he reminds me of Amelia of Slayers fame). I also liked that Inquisitor guy and Kidaf.

How I plan to contribute: I've sketched some 4koma SutePri stuff, but since it feeds a guilty pleasure of mine (really, really guilty), the day I share it is the day Pacifica accepts Leo's propo...sal... wait. I've also garnered around 400 screenshots of the anime from my bittorrent pirate copies and am planning to icon them as soon as possible. I'm contemplating taking up some writing challenges to explore Senes, too. If I ever get out of my coding funk, I'll try a fanlisting for the Casulls.

Level of exposure: I've recently finished the anime and I'm not entirely sure I'll check out the novels yet. I'm already following six 'light series' novels and I have enough to read as it is. However, since the community's info on the novels have piqued my interest, I guess I'll have to eventually gobble that up too...

How SutePri broke my brain: Chris x Winia = WHAT JUST HAPPENED? The technical stuff only caught up to me at the last moment and when it did, I just realized the wasted potential at the end. Also, the pseudo-incest moments (d-do I need to say...) confused the crap out of my little inner-shipper (I mean, Fulle's nearly a carbon copy of Shannon and she falls in love with him when her memories are lost and bwuh). My fellow fan going 'IT'S PERFECTLY OKAY!' did not help. In the end, the... the sheer thought of me not going 'Yay!' at a pairing shattered my mind. And that the sealed world was only Japan made me fall out of my chair.

How it broke my heart: Ironically enough, SutePri didn't make me tear up at all. I think it has something to do with being spoiled out the wazoo before I watched the show. I have the self-restraint of mold when it comes to spoiling. (Fear my bad humor, fear it!) If I think about it, I really watched it without being incredibly emotionally impacted. I did wibble at Fulle's crawl-of-death and every time Shannon vowed to protect Pacifica. This is going to seem a bit irrelevant, but the unfinished romantic business stabbed my soul and smeared salt on it. Even with my romance radar, there was only one pairing I actually liked to an extent and it baffled me. Everything else just had me go 'oh okay'.

What I still don't understand: I'm fine with plot holes since I'm not a person who demands answers in a series, but uh, the enemy the humans fought was an alien race, yes? Celia's 'God wanted to preserve the human race' threw me off a tad bit. Also, someone explain to me how the hell you LOSE your new-past memories when you regain your old-past ones. Now.

I'm not sure if this really happened or not: Is there a better history on the Genesis Wars and is the ending in the novels the same as the one in the anime? Please tell me things are better explained. Ah, and how're the relationship dynamics in the books? I've heard the anime romanticized a couple relationships here and there.

Well, nice to meet you SutePri fandom. I thought you didn't exist except in horribly typed comments on veoh.com going 'OMGGGGG I WNTED CHRIS AND PACIFACAAAAA!!!!!!!!!1' Truly, that is what broke my brain.

I'm running on some ungodly reserve fuel, so please excuse any spelling/grammar errors.

Hey, welcome to the comm! Am running a little too low on braincells to formulate a coherent response right now, but you can find some more crap on the novels on my LJ (e.g., summaries, translations, scans, etc.). Bear in mind that a lot of it was posted after a preliminary skim of the text, so. Aha.

Also, someone explain to me how the hell you LOSE your new-past memories when you regain your old-past ones. Now.
