Argh, the clattering old bastard line. The original has すちゃらか親父. I have seen すちゃらか used exactly twice: once to describe the background chatter of a television, and once to describe the sound made when striking the taiko in a particular way. I did what I could.

And yeah, I totally wish the anime had done better by Yuuma. D:
